If you tried to do anything last Saturday that required interaction with
titan.rice.edu, you very likely encountered a few problems.  We spent all
day Saturday upgrading titan to 4.0.1.  So attempted FTP connections fell
of deaf ears.  Also, we inadvertently brought the machine up multi-user
without any mail aliases:  this resulted in bounced mail.  So if you were
trying to FTP to titan, or if mail to the archive server or one of the
Sun-Spots mailboxes bounced, I apologize.  It was a transient situation
and things really are much better now.

Now that the dust has settled a bit (I haven't even been working here two
weeks and they have already dragged me through a major OS upgrade), I will
be concentrating on clearing out the Sun-Spots backlog.  Expect many
messages over the next two weeks---I am still running about 10 days
behind.
