We have a SUN 3/60 workstation with a 1/4" tape drive at work and the
problem is that we cannot append to an archive on the 1/4" cassette.  In
the manual the "r" parameter in "tar" does not work, so is there a way to
append to an archive on the 1/4" tape drive.
