It wouldn't validate my password. When I killed the process (by logging in from another host) I saw that my attempts had produced the message: "hostname is bad for this system" Everything else seems to work fine, hostname produces the correct result. Has anyone else run into this? Bernard Silver [[ This was sent in later: --wnl ]] I earlier reported here a problem with lockscreen. This problem occured after installing the C2 options. If I put my password in /etc/passwd things work fine. lockscreen doesn't appear to look in /etc/security/passwd.adjunct C2 and lockscreen don't mix. Seems strange when the Security Features Manual strongly suggests the use of lockscreen! Bernard Silver
