And this for any window system (SunView, NeWS, X-Windows). I have tried to connect a VT100 terminal on one serial port of my Sun3/50, on which I can plug a hardcopy printer. I have set the PROM Console I/O to this serial port, and then the boot procedure outputs appear on the terminal. But I can no longer login on the Sun monitor !!! And so cannot use the window system. I have contacted Hotline Germany, and the guy told me: "It is impossible to have a deported console and the monitor active simultaneously". Is it true? How do you manage with operationnel Suns ?
