In lfonts.tex (% File LFONTS - Version of 11 November 1986.) I find the
following comment:

    % This file contains the following kludge: 8pt and 9pt versions
    % of \sc call magnifications of amcsc10 instead of cmcsc10.
    % Search for KLUDGE to find for both instances.

What's the idea of this?  If indeed it should really be so, where can I
get a copy of amcsc10.mf (there aren't any am fonts on our tape)?
