Message-ID: <1593@lindy.Stanford.EDU> Date: 9 Jan 89 01:17:38 GMT Sender: news@lindy.Stanford.EDU Organization: InterViews/Allegro group, Stanford University Lines: 11 The HP9000s300 workstation comes equipped with several possible kinds of display hardware - monochrome vs. color, medium resolution vs. high resolution, 1 vs. 6 vs. 10 planes, etc. I compiled and installed the sample server from the MIT X11R3 distribution only to find that it couldn't handle the 98550A Catseye 10-plane color display. No big problem since I'm sure HP will release a commercial X11R3 server that handles a Catseye display, but I would like to have a working server in the meantime. Has anyone written the missing Catseye code and contributed it to the X Consortium yet? John Interrante interran@marktwain.stanford.edu
