I'm going to have to support a stand-alone Sun 3/160 running
X10, and I can't get X to start up on it. If I run a kernel
that has device ie0 defined, I get a lot of

ie0: no carrier

messages. If I make a kernel without ie0, X won't start up.
I tried using the kernel with ie0 included, and not doing the
ifconfig of ie0, but that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas how
I might get around this?
