Lines: 20 I have problems getting gnuchess to work under xchess, which is included in the gnuchess distribution (this refers to the most recent distribution as recently announced by Stuart Cracraft). After installing gnuchess, gnuchessr, and xchess virtually unchanged on my Sun 3/50 with X11R3 and typing xchess -c [-p gnuchessr] a window with a chessboard pops up and all chess pieces but the white King's rook are painted, but then the program hangs. xchess -c -p /usr/games/chess works, and just using gnuchessr directly indicate that gnuchessr has the same (character) interface as /usr/games/chess, which is somewhat puzzling. Has anybody else observed this problem who would be willing to post/email the fix? With thanks in advance, Fritz Henglein (henglein@nyu.edu)
