The development system I use has only vi, and this is hopeless.

Does anyone out in net-gnu-land, have a reduced gnu? Since all I have
is a 1200 baud link for the file transfer, getting the megabytes of
data is impractical.

A stripped down version of emacs would be handy for this, but one where
we wouldn't give up more than just the really big parts of GNU Emacs,
if that's even possible.
