Message-ID: <331@opusys.UUCP> Date: 19 Jan 89 22:38:37 GMT Organization: Opus Systems, Cupertino, CA Lines: 26 I'm trying to get a news feed going; we are going to feed another site. Both running Sys V Rel 3 and news sw as of 9/88. I put an entry in the sys file for the to.neighbor, created the group, and tried to send a test message with postnews. I'm using the default DFTXMIT. Nothing happens. Postnews tells me the message was sent successfully, and indeed, I get the messge in the right place on *my* system, but postnews doesn't queue the job to go out! However, I can get it queued by issuing a uux command manually, as follows uux - -r -z neighbor!rnews < filename_of_random_news_file Surely I don't have to do this for every news item! Uux is sposed to get its stdin exactly how? Anybody know what's going on here? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Please respond by email. Sandy (sun, uunet)!opusys!sandy
