I had been doing runoffs with nroff for a number of cycles, and suddenly
was confronted with the error message shown in the subject line. I have
(just to be sure) replaced nroff with a fresh copy, and it made no difference.

Just what/where is the "temp" file it is trying to create, and why would it
just suddenly go t.u.? I'm stumped. And have more docs to work on :-).
