I'm having trouble getting connected with the dial-back service here at the University, and suspect my modem. Others with said service seem to get linked up just fine. My modem commands, starting at a power-up with all the factory default settings, are simply: ATDTnnn-mmmm@dddddddd (dial phone, wait for answer, send dial-back code) A (any character--causes modem to hang up) ATS0=1 (set auto-answer) (phone rings, modem answers, no connect, remote end hangs up) Please reply by E-mail, as I don't read this group. --- Stephen Walton, Dept. of Physics & Astronomy, Cal State Univ.
