Somebody ftp' ed it for me from the address mentioned in this newsgroup. It was a compressed tar file, unpacked about 1,5 Mb in size. Tar only gets about 900 Kb before it exits with a directory checksum error. Culprit is a file called cramps.tiff which is a tiff-format picture file containing 194176 characters in one line. Everything before this file unpacks, compiles and runs as a charm but the main programs are missing, only libtiff is there. Does somebody have an undamaged version of tifftools, PLEASE? fmr@cwi.nl PS.:Excuse me for posting to the net, but neither in the README, nor in the sources or the manpage was the author's name. -- It is better never to have been born.
