I note that the chnbuild arguments exclude the ether and news channels.

I wonder if this is the same problem as reported on an Ultrix system
concerning continuation lines in the config file.  Seems the sed program
behaves oddly.  See Robert Evans' message of 26/1/89.

WHat system are you running on?
