But I am having a lot of trouble making it talk with my UNIX line at Bellcore. After being connected, I receive a lot of gibberish instead of the normal "ENTER CLASS" prompt. With Procomm, there are 3 settings that I have to determine: Modem int string, dialing command, and dialing command suffix. In crosstalk, there are numerous similar settings that I had tried, but was quite unsuccessful at. I suppose after sufficient number of permutations (or combinations) of different settings and flipping the right switches on the front panel of the modem, it may well work. But this may take forever. The manual is no help either, as I have stringently followed the directions carefully to no avail. Can anyone help? Does anyone else have a similar modem? Are you using touchtone, pulse dialing? What are the settings that you are using?? Parity=Even, odd?? etc. etc. ANY help would be sincerely appreciated!!! Please e-mail to: bellcore!nvuxl!myron
