Keywords: root can change but others can't Message-ID: <1063@unm-la.UUCP> Date: 1 Feb 89 00:50:22 GMT Organization: University of New Mexico - Los Alamos Lines: 24 Back again... I've found out that the su can change passwords but, the other users can not. I checked the files in /usr/bin to the original files and there is no difference. I even recopied them over with still no change in the problem. The problem seems to be related to permissions but, they all check out the same as the original files -- plus, the version on floppy works. My next step would be to put some debug statements in the passwd.c source and track it from there but, the version of MINIX they bought here at school did not come with the C compiler. Any hints?
