E) in order to properly interface a Seagate ST-225 as drive C: on an XT-clone? I called OMTI and was told "Oh, we don't support that card anymore." I thought it would have taken hardly any more time to look up a jumper setting on a table than to respond at all, but... I persisted, and the guy said "try jumpering j1 and j4" and then he hung up (hanged up?). Needless to say, his info was wrong. The ST-225 is known good, as it worked with a Konan controller on another machine. The OMTI card was working when last used with a genuine ST-506. If someone has an OMTI card working in this most vanilla of configurations, please tell me what your jumper settings are. Thanks. BTW, in contrast with OMTI, I have received good support from Western Digital in the past, and superb support from Perstor. -lar Secular Animism, a value system for our times.
