(The BFE is an A1-level crypto box for TCP/IP.) I've seen the document in the DDN Protocol Handbook; I'm looking for an operational overview. There was a paper presented at the 1988 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy by C. Weissman; unfortunately, the text was not received in time to be included in the proceedings. If anyone has that paper, or other, similar papers, or a pointer to Weissman, I'd appreciate it. I'm neither eligible for, nor interested in, any classified material. --Steve Bellovin AT&T Bell Laboratories
