Ken,

Wollongong's WIN/TCP for VMS has had FTP extensions for transmitting
arbitrary file types for quite awhile.  When we first announced this --
probably in the info-vax list -- there was a question about using a
public standard.  At the time, we had our focus on functionality, but
are more than somewhat interested in moving to an inter-operable spec,
as always...
