Message-ID: <2414@eos.UUCP> Date: 25 Jan 89 18:49:34 GMT Reply-To: phil@eos.UUCP (Phil Stone) Organization: NASA Ames Research Center, Calif. Lines: 18 I've finally suppressed my objections to the 2000 - physical largeness (harder to travel with), noisier fan, port incompatibility with the 1000, and the possibility of my checking account suffering a direct nuke hit - and done the dirty deed. Last night I traded my 1000 (and $1200) for a 2000. I'm pretty happy with the move so far, except that since I use the Amiga almost exclusively for music, the stock fan has got to go - I think the "music" that it makes is very boring and much too loud. I have heard mention here of somebody swapping in a much quieter (Radio Shack??) fan that actually moves more air. Three questions: 1) What fan(s) fit(s) this description? 2) How does one find out how much air the stock 2000 fan moves? 3) Will the fan swap void my warrantee? Thanks for the help.
