War games, no good for parties (too long): Sub Battle Simulator, Epyx. No assigns needed, hd-install script in s: for installation. Is much nicer to play on HD or with extra memory (it uses expansion ram to cache images/sounds.) Multitasking. disclaimer: I ported it. A bit more of a simulation than Silent Service. Key disk protection. Port of Mac version. Works with 68020. Gettysburg, SSI. Assigns needed, word from manual protection. Port of 8-bit version with some improvements to UI, game the same. Multitasking. 1.0 has a number of bugs, 1.3 is latest version (I bought mine a month ago and got 1.0, and am upgrading). Good game, if you like wargames. Works with 68020. UMS, Rainbird. Assigns needed, word from manual protection. Port of ST version. UI is slow, and redraws FAR too much. Interesting idea, tries for a bit too much. Works with 68020. Multitasking, runs on WB, changes WB colors (but can change them back to normal). Good party games: Hole-In-One Minature Golf, (I forget). Installable on HD, but takes a bit of work to use from HD due to key disk system (have to be careful to not end up loading off floppy.) Sometimes bangs floppy heads around. Works on '020, but seems to eventually lock up. Not a bad game though, comes with 5 or 6 courses (can't remember). Shanghai, Activision (Megiagenic). Assign needed. Works on 68020. Great graphics, fun to play. Can be good 2-player game too (tournaments and timed play). There are others, I'm sure. -- Randell Jesup, Commodore Engineering {uunet|rutgers|allegra}!cbmvax!jesup
