The emulators are software. The "64 emulator" from ReadySoft allows you to use the 1541 with a special cable, and the Amiga drives as 64 drives also. $i heard go-64 was good. Reviews have basically concluded that they both emulate pretty slowly, and neither is 100% compatible. I cannot endorse or recommend one emulator, sorry. I hope this helps.
