Your problem has nothing to do with your A1000 as you have guessed.
Some Expansion Technology's memory boxes don't refresh during reset
(hence the laughable suggesting to C-A-A ``quickly''). Call them up
and ask them if your serial number (board and box) are one of those
that don't refresh ram during reset.
