These sound like comments which are pertinent to Lattice version 4. Version 5 is much improved. It offers precompiled header files, the Lattice Compiler Companion (a suite of text and file management programs including grep and LMK which is Lattice's name for their make program), and a very nice source level debugger. I can't speak to the issues of speed and code size because I haven't used the Manx compiler. I've been very pleased with the Lattice compiler and the support Lattice provides. --Fabbian Dufoe 350 Ling-A-Mor Terrace South St. Petersburg, Florida 33705 813-823-2350 UUCP: ...uunet!pdn!jc3b21!fgd3
