The link between Boston U and MIT has been down for two+ days; so naturally, when it got fixed today, I got a humongous number of messages (including mucho bounced mail messages from another list that HAS to tell me about EVERY user it can't find in 3 days if I'm foolish enough to send a comment to it). Imagine my delight at finding the above in that mass of mail!! (I like Monty Python too :-). 1) the reason the Technotes are being sent to archive sites is they ARE LARGE MAIL (I seem to recall Mark or Scott or someone saying they total 2 Mbytes?). 2) if you can't receive large mail, haven't access to 'ftp', can't get LISTSERV@BROWNVM to acknowledge you exist, and don't receive comp.binaries.apple2 then you are fresh out of luck unless you can afford to subsribe to one of: AppleLink-PE, Genie, Compu$erve, MCI Mail, the Source......
