Yes, this is correct. You can get a cable for about $10 from JameCo Electronics, which is where I got mine. >2. I think you can then re-use slot 6. I really haven't tried it. Basically, when I don't want to wait forever for the Finder to check my 5.25" drive, and I'm not actually using my 5.25" drive (which is most of the time), I simply disconnect the cable before power-up, which is a lot easier than opening up the machine and pulling out the cable or the interface card.
