Subject: Which modem to buy (also Kermit)

I am looking for a 1200 baud modem and a kermit package to download text files
such as mail, etc.  What types of modems are there?  I have a C-64 and I want
to download to a 4.3 BSD UNIX mainframe.  Will any modems also require certain
interfaces or any modifications?  I really don't know much about the way
computers actually work, so please don't recommend modems that need a EE degree
to modify it for my applications  :-)  Also, what price ranges should I be
expecting to deal with?
