About a week ago or so I posted a plea for help with a problem I had
running Microsoft CodeView in MSC 5.1 on an IBM AT.

Well, the problem - which was that the computer would hang on the first
"printf()" staement encountered - turned out to be due to an interaction
between CodeView and the my Everex Micro Enhancer Deluxe EV-657 graphics
adapter.  Flipping the state of dipswitch #6 (whose function is undocumented,
except for a comment on page 43 of the manual which states that setting
the switch will prevent Microsoft "Decathlon" from hanging the computer!)
fixes all.

Thank-you to the two people who sent me what they hoped were helpful
suggestions;  this time the net struck out.
