I read in InfoWorld that Dbase IV files that have memo fields in them cannot
be read by Dbase III+ or "compatibles" (such as Clipper). If this is true,
this is a serious bug; we will no doubt want to phase in Dbase IV over a
period of time and it may have to coexist with Dbase III+ databases. Can
anyone shed some light on this situation? Does Ashton-Tate plan to fix this
"anomaly" (that's the word they used to describe it; I call it a bug)?
