I used it to edit a 33Kbyte file and it truncated the file. 33K is not terribly large but worse, I used :w to write the file fragment to a new file and the program went into an endless disk I/O loop. When I tried again on a smaller file, I found that screen management was worse than UNIX vi when using a dumb terminal. R. Levy
