Message-ID: <422@execu.UUCP> Date: 25 Jan 89 14:55:48 GMT Reply-To: teb@execu.UUCP (Thomas E. Bernhard) Organization: Mac Hacker on a Network Lines: 17 I am trying to use NCSA telnet (version 2.2 7/5/88) and am having some trouble. It is configured to use the Apple EtherTalk card. Here's the problem. When I try to connect to a host I get "Couldn't connect to execu" followed by "Local Host or Gateway not responding". I am confused because telnet will dynamically get my Mac II IP address over the net using RARP but it is unable to talk to the host that gave it. What gives? :-( My config.tel file looks like this: hardware=Ether name=execu;hostip=192.9.200.3 Any help or pointer will be appreciated. -- Tom Bernhard -- cs.utexas.edu!execu!teb
