Message-ID: <7281@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu> Date: 27 Jan 89 15:50:35 GMT Reply-To: mha@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu (Mark H. Anbinder) Organization: Department of Media Services, Cornell University, Ithaca NY Lines: 27 I have seen what appear to be three versions of Finder 6.1 accompanying System 6.0.2. The only VISIBLE difference (the version numbers are the same) is with the command-key equivalents for Restart and Shutdown under the Special menu. The first version I saw had command-R and command-S for Restart and Shutdown, respectively. The second version I saw had NEITHER, just like in previous versions of the Finder. The third had no equivalent for Restart, but had command-Q for Shutdown. Also, the version that had R and S got to me with the vertical icon phase set at 15 pixels (i.e. icons in Finder windows are staggered up and down across a line, rather than having them in a straight line). I changed this in the LAYO resource because I didn't like it. Have I been seeing home-altered copies of the Finder? Which of the above configurations did Apple release? All of them? Just one? Please tell me whether I'm using good software! If you e-mail replies I am likely to see them; my system often erases articles before I can catch up. I will summarize responses to the net. -- Mark H.
