Message-ID: <5860@phoenix.Princeton.EDU> Date: 27 Jan 89 19:26:32 GMT Organization: Princeton University, NJ Lines: 13 I was running DiskExpress to defragment my hard disk when, about 10% of the way through, the screen went into a funny pattern and horrible noises came out of the machine. The guy at AlSoft says i have a memory problem and should get it checked out. This costs $88, and if there is a shareware diagnostic program, i'd rather use that. (I have a Mac+ with 2.5 MB). The guy also said there was no way i'd recover any data. Fortunately, i backed most everything up. -- - Scott
