OS/VS1 provided a 16 megabyte 370 running MFT, and the first versions of OS/VS2 provided a 16 megabyte machine running MVT. OS/MVS now provides each job with a separate address space, but that surely ain't required. So, don't mistake dynamic relocation in logical addresses with dynamic relocation in physical addresses. Yes, Virgil, it really is virtual memory. They, quite wisely, didn't try to fix everything else at the same time..... -Mike
