They've ALWAYS been very helpful to me. I suspect your requests have happened to fall on the wrong ears or have slipped through the cracks somehow (I can't excuse it, but at least give them another chance). Perhaps a call to their bigwigs would help. Steve Edelman (a (the?) founder of SuperMac) is always being pictured in magazines these days with a smile on his face. Maybe he likes being in the software business and will give you some help? To slightly reiterate: I REALLY DO RECOMMEND DiskFit and Network DiskFit (we use them here at Apple). Any support problems you're having should be brought to the attention to someone in high places a SuperMac (e.g., Mr. Edelman). I hope they're interested in fixing your problem.
