I DID buy Red Ryder 10.3 and have been having persistent problems in 'vi' on 4 different Unix systems. No matter what I do (messing with the tab settings, etc), when I edit a line that is more than a few characters long the cursor jumps around all over the line. Tabs make the problems worse, but even without them, trying to edit in the last 3/4 of a line usually puts the cursor about 1/2 way along the line. It is very hard to figure out what is going on. Any help? I am new on the net. Thanks, Jim O'Connor
