Lines: 17 Help, Does anyone know how to use global/static variables in MPW C within an XCMD? Yes, I've read TN #110 and know that it is purported not to work due to the A5 problem. However, Mac WorkStation gets around this problem with an assembly language glue preamble that apparently saves Mac WorkStation's A5 and points A5 at the EXEC's global data. BTW: I can't use LightSpeed C due to the fact that much of the code I need to link with is dependent upon MPW's header files and the level of effort required to modify them is inordinate.
