I have a digital circuit that is to be controlled by a Mac SE via the modem
serial port.  I need to know how to access the port through the software so
I can transmit and receive asynchronous data.  I have skimmed through IM I-III
and have become very confused.  I was wondering if anybody out there knows how
to read and write data to the port.  I am writing the program in LSP and I just
need to interface my circuit to the Mac.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am just very confused about how to open buffers, lock them, dereference,
coerce, read from, write to, etc.
