Is there a way to disable the timeout feature of the ARP cache so that
the entries remain permanent?  I have changed the refresh and usage timers
to high values (60 minutes) and also enabled the auto-refresh; however,
I am still running into delays in making connections (although less
frequently). I notice that even with auto-refresh enabled, the entries
still disappear from the cache when the refresh timer runs out.
Shouldn't the gateway re-ARP for these hosts and keep their entries
in the cache?
