Here is a summary of the responses. __________ >We are having a problem with tcsh 5.4 on a Sun 3/160 running 3.5. >Whenever a user types ^C on the command line, the shell exits. Has anyone >else had this problem and found a way around it? Tad Guy : I believe that was fixed later by a patch. Do you have tcsh dated 7/18/87 (echo $version). If not you can get the latest via ftp from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu in tcsh-beta. If that is the version you have, send me mail and I'll send you the patches that have been applied here. It has other problems, however... (noting as serious, though). I use it. ...tad pjg@tahoe.unr.edu (Paul Graham): Organization: University of Nevada Reno get 5.6 from somewhere at osu. perhaps giza.cis.ohio-state.edu or perhaps tut. the version i have is beta and you lose the ``='' special character. uunet!unrvax!pjg pjg@unrvax.unr.edu Reg Quinton : We ran into similar problems (and worse -- I can't get it compiled on 4.0) but this problem is solved by setting your parity to none... (or at least it seems to work for me). ______________ Thank you all!
