In GNU Emacs 18.52.3 of Thu Jan 19 1989 on mrspoc (usg-unix-v)

I'm gong NUTS!!! This emacs loses characters on a consistent basis,
forcing me o slow down my typing and lok at the screenall the time!!!

It's independant of terminal type. Whether I'mlogged in directl or
via modem, it does not matter.

The typoes in this letter are how this bug anifests.

The machine is a Plexus 60, running system 5.2

Anyone experience this before? Got a fix?
