Yeah, I've always thought that this is the most elegant refutation
available of Searle's Chinese-room, and it deals with the very curious
paper "Ascribing intensionality to machines" as well.  Thanks for
bringing your uniquely Zen-ist viewepoint to the discussion, which so
easily gets bogged down in technicalities and trivialities.  Your
posting has helped me see the whole debate in its holistic integrated
wholeness.
