Has anyone hacked the info package, so it can be used for different
texinfo files than those in emacs/info/dir ?

I would like to have a local info files for, say Latex mode where I
have a list and a few explanations I always forget and which I can
call with, say C-cC-h.

I had a look through info.el, but everything is just specifically set
up for the big info.

If you have some code laying around, please drop me a line.
