An understanding of batch files is sufficient to change your menus in AutoCAD. Look it up in your manual and use a text editor to look at the structure of the *.MNU files under the AutoCAD subdirectories. It's not too difficult. Remember to rename your original files so you can refer back to them until you get your new files working correctly. So no, you don't have to know LISP to modify the menu files. But AutoCAD is a LOT more fun to use if you learn a little LISP. You can greatly streamline your most common commands.
