Subject: The QMS-PS 810 printer?

I was thinking of buying a QMS-PS 810 laser printer the other day.
Its spec.'s looks good, version 47.0 of PostScript, the new Canon
engine (the same as in the Apple LW II's), it's quiet, etc etc.

But then I read a few messages in comp.sys.sun about this printer,
which scared me off. It is said to give spurious error messages
and to flush the job if the input tray goes empty and isn't filled
again within 60 seconds.

Is there anyone who has such a printer who can verify whether they
are true or not?
