There is an archive. As I recall it's not humongous but does have a fair number of things in it. In case you already subscribe to some other on-line systems and not to Bix and are not thrilled at the thought of yet another one, I find Bix pretty useful. The interface (Cosy) is just awful, but there's a lot of good technical information up there, & importantly it doesn't scroll off so often as things do on CompuServe. Messages stay there for months.
