A simple example would be how VLT and TxEd+ are able to work together. Two programs, running concurrently that are able to pass data back and forth to one another. I know that the Mac cannot do this. The PC might, but I cannot think of any specific examples at the moment. This is the best example of a "real world" use for multitasking I can think of at the moment. I'm sure that there are others. --hal
