I've had the same thing happen. It was because the host I was connected to was not recognizing the break (^C ^D etc) All the stuff you typed in was in a buffer waiting until the previous command (listing etc) completes before going on. Check the configuration of the host your connected to. I hope this helps, I worked for me, (Of course you Ccould go get a brew until the darn thing is done with the listing! ;-) ) Dave S.
