They have an article about a California company that sell heavy duty Amiga 500 power supplies for about the same $100. But of course with the construction shown in the article, I doubt you'd ever have to replace it again. The power supply shown in the article had both cords, and two outlets mounted on the back, and only the power switch on front ( an arrangement that is easier to use than the A500 power brick arrangement).
