My RAWKEYS reader was hanging when I held a key down. It dawned on me today that I was printf()ing (for debugging - HA!) every IDCMP event I got (and forgot about it because I'm normally on my own screen, with the printf()s going to the CLI window). Sho 'nuff, the keys were repeating faster than printf() could keep up, so my program was getting stuck in the GetMsg() loop. Sigh. Today's Murphy's Law corollary: "Debugging is most effectively accomplished immediately after posting the problem to usenet." /.- -- .. --. .- .-. ..- .-.. . ... .- -- .. --. .- .-. ..- .-.. . ...\ / Neil Weinstock | att!cord!nsw | "One man's garbage is another \ \ AT&T Bell Labs | nsw@cord.att.com | man's prune danish." - Harv Laser / \.- -- .. --. .- .-. ..- .-.. . ... .- -- .. --. .- .-. ..- .-.. . .../
